At 66, country music legend Alan Jackson has made a poignant return to the spotlight, reflecting on his decision to step back from the music scene. In a heartfelt interview, Jackson revealed that his departure was influenced by his battle with Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease, a progressive neurological disorder affecting his balance and mobility. Diagnosed over a decade ago, Jackson had kept his condition private until 2021, when he disclosed it to fans to explain changes in his stage presence. He emphasized that while CMT is not life-threatening, it has progressively impacted his ability to perform .

Despite these challenges, Jackson has not faded from the public eye.
