Marty Haggard, the eldest son of Merle Haggard, has spent much of his life walking in the shadow of a country music giant — but also basking in the warmth of a deep father-son bond built on music, hardship, and mutual respect. “I don’t just sing his songs. I tell people who he was — the father, the friend, the man who could break your heart with a lyric and lift your spirit in the next breath.”
